Birds from the Coast
If you missed last week’s post, that’s because I was busy taking pictures during a family trip to the Oregon coast. If you missed this post, that’s because it’s for the birds – seagulls, pelicans, whimbrels, and western sandpipers, to be exact!
Spider Mites
Occasionally when I am outside looking for bugs to photograph, I will notice tiny yellow specks moving around on the ground. Last week, I found several concentrated around some pollen that had fallen from an iris flower, so I took the opportunity to get a closer look at these creatures with some macro photographs.
Around Malheur Reservoir
Along with some fish, I caught a few good photos of wildlife and scenery from Malheur Reservoir this week.
Nyssa
This week I’m sharing some photos from a walk around my hometown, Nyssa, which is primarily an agricultural town. I enjoyed the change from my usual macro subjects, and I hope you do as well.
Spring Jumpers
If you don’t like spiders, perhaps only jumping spiders could convince you otherwise. With their big eyes, spiked hair, and occasional crazy colors, they just might be the stars of the invertebrate world.
DIY Flash Diffuser
Ever since becoming interested in photography, I was never a big fan of the camera flash. Now I am hooked.
Daffodil Buds
Spring is almost here, and these daffodils are going to be right on time. They’re a day late to be featured in full bloom for this week’s post, but that’s okay, because daffodil buds also deserve some attention.
