Birds with Masks

There were about 25 waxwings that flew into the trees and bushes alongside our yard. They were more stylish than skittish, so a photographer who didn’t own anything larger than a 200-mm lens (me) was able to get close enough to capture some of their intriguing details. Maybe they aren’t as afraid of humans as other birds because they wear masks.
