So far this new year I’ve only had my camera out three times. Two of those times were for short walks around town, and these two photos were taken during one of those walks.
About the second image – I didn’t expect to capture a nice landscape scene among civilization, but there ended up being a great sunset that was reflecting off of the railroad tracks, and distracting power poles and houses in the distance were hidden in the shadows. There are even power lines that run across the middle of the image, but they are where the clouds change colors and aren’t noticeable without looking closely. Taking this picture was a good reminder of how much more captivating an image can be when distracting elements are minimized or eliminated.
These are two very cool pictures, Mark! I love the second one, simply beautiful! Great start to the new year!
Thank you.
Well, the second one is my favorite too! It is beautiful! And I would never have known all that other stuff was in the picture if you hadn’t said something about it! Amazing! I liked the geese too! They also are amazing the way they fly, as though they are on a mission, which they probably are! Hee Hee! 🙂
Thanks. Something is definitely going on down south.
