I’m disappointed to say that I did not take a single picture last week, but that means you get to see three little leafhoppers I’ve been saving for such an occasion. If you’ve ever noticed little specks jumping around on plants or in the grass, chances are they are leafhoppers.
To make note – the first two hoppers were from my backyard and the third was from western Oregon. As far as what species any of these three are, I’m pretty clueless – Wikipedia says there are over 20,000 species.
Wow! I never knew what they really looked like because they are so tiny! Funny looking little guys if you ask me! Hahaha! I know you didn’t ask me! 🙂 That is some fabulous camera & lenses you have to get these little guys up that close!
Thank you. They do look pretty funny, and a bit like miniature grasshoppers.
Those are some crazy small bugs!! Fun to see what they actually look like! Great photos, Mark!! 🙂
